Shame to these people. They will not stop. Looks like towards the end, the AU leadership will not participate on their game, so the bureaucrats by hook or crook as they say, want to pretend they are the experts of the game of TLDs and playing a game of money trying to sell the endorsement to the highest bidder. Dandjinou is the root of all the evil, playing musical chair with these illegitimate companies he brings abroad, and keep a failed strategy.
If the Chair of the AU is the one that endorsed for DCA, it is only the Chair that can withdraw it, legally that is, anything and whoever writes 100 letters from different parts of the organization will not be effective. DCA has been endorsed by the key organizations in Africa- the AU and ECA. They know what they were doing way ahead of everyone. Just respect and move on.
Despite DCA’s harsh sounding NO Campaign, they are true to the story and this is what Africa needs to transition to democracy.

Hi Sophia,
I had read much or most of the Travesty article last week. And now, through this last bombast, and heartily approve, yet with the caveat that you may want to tone it down for the sake of those who could be alienated by your strident tone – personally I
love it!
I was just thinking of you, I mean before I looked at my mail at 4 in the morning here, and saw your message. You have taken on a mammoth task in standing up against the obfuscations, behind-the-scenes manipulations, suborning of policy makers by less-than-selfless persons whose love of money has corrupted them, which is so rampant in this part of the world that it is taken as normal; and this is the darkness out of which must come the light that Bob Marley sang about, and you are doing it, by the grace of God – though some would say it was of the devil.
I woul like to encourage your faith that you are on the right track in exposing the fraudulent practices the way you have been doing, so please keep on keeping on.
All the Best,
Dr Yassin Mshana
Dear colleagues,
The information below explains it all about the saga of .africa.
We are all aware that DCA has been the potential organisation to run the gTLD on behalf of Africans…it started years ago and we all supported.
This emergence of a few individuals using the trust on them to turn against others – especially using political angle and making this become a big issue unnecessarily is shaming Africa!
You know what to do best – inform your Hon Ministers and the Advisory Teams accordingly – not to bring Africa to shame at ICANN42 – they should just endorse DCA and we move on!
